Student Mobility in Kansas City Charter Schools
New Research on KC Charter Schools Highlights School Characteristics and Student Enrollment
A recently released working paper from Patrick Denice, Michael DeArmond, and Matthew Carr examines whether new charter schools opening in Kansas City led to increased racial isolation. They find that higher percentages of white students switch into new schools with more white students. However, they point out that this result is largely due to two new schools in the City and is largely a function of particular characteristics in schools. You can read the full report here.
