Daily Tribune: There are probably more homeless students enrolled in Columbia Public Schools than even the schools know, said district spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark. Veterans United Foundation and Douglass High School have developed a new pilot project to benefit homeless students. The Flourish Initiative will provide a home and programming for Douglass students who are homeless and away from their parents.
